What We Believe:
We believe God is a true God consisting in three distinct Persons or Positions: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:19, 3:16-17; I John 5:7-8; John 14:6-17; II Corinthians 13:14);
We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father and is God incarnate, being the fullness of the Godhead bodily and Savior of the world. He is conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very Man. Jesus alone is the provision of salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:14-18; Romans 1:20; Colossians 2:9; Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 9:6; Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11);
We believe the Holy Spirit operates as the unlimited and indivisible presence of Jesus Christ on earth as Comforter and Advocate, convicts of sin, draws the sinner to Christ, indwelling every born-again believer and making the believer’s body His temple.
(John 14:16-17, 26; John 15:26; John 16:7-8; I Corinthians 6:19-20);
We believe the Holy Scriptures, the Bible, is the infallible Word of God and is therefore without error and is eternally reliable in all matters of Christian faith and practice. The Scripture shall not be added to, superseded, or changed by later tradition or revelation. Every doctrinal formation, whether of creed, confession, or theology, must be put to the test of the full counsel of God as revealed in the Scriptures consisting of 66 books, from Genesis to Malachi in the Old Testament and from Matthew to Revelation in the New Testament.
(II Timothy 3:16; I Corinthians 2:13);
We believe in creation. God created man (male) and woman (female) to be life together, to be fruitful, to multiply and to replenish the earth. Eve was called the ‘wife’ of Adam, giving to the man the institution ordained of God called marriage, requiring that a man leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. This is the Bible’s only provision for marriage. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime and is a sacred institution established by God.
(Genesis 1:27-28; Matthew 19:4-6);
We believe in the table of the Lord, commonly called the Communion or the Lord’s Supper, for believers.
(I Corinthians 11:28-32; Matthew 26:26-28);
We believe in the necessity of water baptism for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and is administered by immersion, thus bearing witness to the gospel of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection for us, and our own new life in Him.
(Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:34-38; Acts 19:1-6; Romans 6:4);
We believe the Great Commission was given by Christ and is binding on every believer to “go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature” with the good news of the gospel. (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16).
